The above photograph was taken at a post-war luncheon hosted by the Hooker Chemical Company at the Niagara Country Club.  The photo was provided to us by Peter Briney, son of Robert M. Briney (#36), an area manager of Union Carbide in the Niagara Falls area.  We have identified (#19) Col. Kenneth D. Nichols, District Engineer, Manhattan Engineer District - Oak Ridge; (#23) Maj. Gen. Leslie Groves, Commanding Officer MED; and (#25) Navy Capt. William Parsons, Deputy Director of the Los Alamos Laboratory and Weaponeer on the Enola Gay.  Note that most of the men in uniform have the atomic bomb shoulder patch.  We need help in identifying the remainder of the group and also identifying the purpose of this banquet held in upstate New York.  Please contact us at support@mphpa.org.  Click on Image Above to Enlarge
