16-7  Herbert H. Eilers

My Step-brother is Ron Canter of Kerrville, Texas. My Dad is still alive, and does not speak of his part in WWII and the Manhattan Project. He is now 86 years old, and he is actually living on borrowed time. If it wasn't for his pacemaker working 24 hours a day, his heart would not function. I have a wonderful relationship with him, and I would not trade that for anything in the world. He is my strength, and my hero, and I love him with all my heart. People say I look like Daddy, and so far all of my grandchildren have his blue eyes, as I do. Dad now lives in the VA Home in Claremore, Oklahoma, and rides his scooter, and they all call him the "Cadillac Man", and he plays some Bingo. Mom, Barbara, Faye, and Ron and their families love him as much as I do, and I have been so blessed to have them to help with his care. His Loving Daughter, Helen Robinson
