11-03  Warren A. Sharp

I have his patches somewhere, a blue eagle holding lightning bolts and a wrench, on a tan field. I think it says US Technician on them, but I haven't looked at them many years. He died from coronary problems at age 49. The certificate of appreciation from Secretary of War Stimson, dated 6 August 1945, hangs on my wall.

He once remarked on the coincidence that he knew Paul Tibbets before the war. They grew up in the same neighborhood.

My thanks to Ed Wolcott for identifying the patches for me as those of the SED.

Thank you for the hard work collecting the information and presenting it here on your web site. It may help me better understand one of the single most influential periods in my father's life and how it may have effected him.
