Veteran Archives - Main Page

As a partner of the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress, http://www.loc.gov/folklife/vets/partners/partners.html we have agreed to be the primary organization to coordinate and collect the memories, accounts, documents, letters, and photos of Manhattan Project veterans, both military and civilian, and to preserve these stories of experience and service for future generations.

The Veterans Archive Pages are designed as follows:  Each page contains the profiles of 12 veterans.  These profiles contain short biographies (100 words or less), a photo (if available), a full description of the veteran's role and location within the Manhattan Project, and links to any associated documents, additional photos (up to 3 additional), and longer biographies which we call "stories".  We encourage you to take a moment and view some of these extraordinary profiles.  Please "click" on the links below.

Profiles are added to these archive pages ONLY when we have heard from the veterans themselves or from a family member.

A "Smiley Face" on the veteran's profile indicates that the veteran or his/her family has far exceeded expectations in contributing to the success of this organization and web site!
