Charles "Don" Albury at the controls of Bockscar. Don Albury was the regular pilot of The Great Artiste. The crew of The Great Artiste switched planes and flew on Bockscar for the Nagasaki Mission. Don was 'bumped' over to the co-pilot's seat when Maj. Charles Sweeney, commanding officer of the 393rd Bombardment Squadron, was assigned as the pilot.
