CPP-CG-330  - 8" x 10" Three-Photo Set of Enola Gay's Return to Tinian Island.  Extremely rare set (to be sold as a set) - 8" x 10"'s taken by same individual upon the return of the Enola Gay to Tinian - Photo 1: Col. Tibbets salutes Gen. Spaatz after receiving Distinguished Service Cross, Bockscar (#V-77) can be seen in the background.  Flight and ground crew observe ceremony; Signed by Tibbets.  Photo 2: Photo of flight and ground crew observing ceremony; Jacob Beser stands behind Capt. Parsons and Dutch Van Kirk can be seen just to the left of front wheel; Signed by Van Kirk, Jeppson, & Nelson.  Photo 3: Dutch Van Kirk walks up behind Col. Tibbets wearing Distinguished Service Cross and hiding his pipe in his left hand.  These photos were reproduced from the original slides; these are the only known still color photos of this event.  Signed by Tibbets and Van Kirk.  SOLD AS A SET OF 3 ONLY!
