Paul Tibbets when he was an Instructor Pilot prior to him forming the 509th CG. What makes this photo special is that it shows the B-29 Ladybird and the two women (WASP) pilots who were trained by Paul Tibbets. In its early stages, men were afraid to fly the B-29 and it was thought that if two women were trained and could fly it, then men would follow.
