CPP-CG-130a & 130b; Two Photo Set - "Top Secret" - Signed by Navigator Jack Widowsky. This unique set of photos are ultra-sharp and make an excellent addition to a 509th Composite Group collection. The first photo is 8" x 10" and shows the crew of Top Secret standing in front of the B29. The 2nd photo is 5" x 7" and shows Lt. Jack Widowsky, the navigator on Top Secret, sitting in front of his control panel. Top Secret played a dual role in both atomic missions. During the Hiroshima mission on August 6, 1945, Top Secret was the backup B-29 and flew to Iwo Jima in case the Enola Gay ran into trouble. During the Nagasaki mission on August 9, 1945, Top Secret was the advance weather plane that flew to Nagasaki and reported back to Bockscar that visual bombing would be possible. one photo per buyer.
