About the Author:
David B. Thomson holds degrees in physics  (BSEP1949;  MS,1951; PHD, 1960) ,  University of Kansas.
He joined the Los Alamos National Laboratory  in 1951  and participated in five nuclear weapons shots at the Nevada Test Site (1951-53).  He worked in nuclear and plasma physics, explosive driven systems, weapons programs, and magnetic fusion. He retired in 1990 and has conducted  detailed studies on START I & II   for LANL as a Lab Associate and Guest ,1990-2001.
