The mission of The
Manhattan Project Heritage Preservation Assoc., Inc. is to
preserve the historical importance of the Manhattan Project, to recognize
and memorialize the efforts of the Manhattan Project veterans, and to
promote the safe and beneficial use of atomic energy.
Through a variety of initiatives and innovative programs,
the Association:

Provides a comprehensive, informative,
and interactive source of factual information about the Manhattan
Project on our critically acclaimed web site "Children of the Manhattan
Project".

Maintains a
sizeable collection of original Manhattan Project documents, photos,
newspaper articles, and letters for use by future generations.

Reaches out to Manhattan Project
veterans, both civilian and military, and their descendents, throughout
the World and provides a means for family members of veterans to obtain
information about their role in the Manhattan Project.

Honors the
memory of all Manhattan Project veterans, both military and civilian, by
creating Veteran Profiles on our web site which include photos of the
veteran (if available), a 200-word biography, and any related documents
that have been submitted to us.

Supports the recognition of all veterans
through our participation as a national partner of the Veterans History
Project of the Library of Congress.

Offers a stimulating environment where
students, researchers, and educators can interact with living Manhattan
Project veterans to gain a fundamental understanding of America’s atomic
bomb effort during World War II.

Works
diligently to counteract historical revisionism as it applies to World
War II, and more specifically, the Manhattan Project.

Encourages and supports the peaceful use
of atomic energy.

Encourages and supports the historical
preservation of the landmark sites of the Manhattan Project.
