(Note: We have added an important new section for the inclusion of obituaries on the message board)

Please take a moment to read these instructions prior to going to our message board:

  1. This message board is free of charge.
  2. Registration (a user name and an e-mail address which you may keep private) is required to post a query and to receive notices when someone responds to a query.
  3. Registration is NOT required if you just want to view the information on the message board.

Registration Instructions:

  1. To register in order to post a query, please follow the below instructions:
  2. Proceed to the message board main page.
  3. Click on "Register" which is on the upper right above the words "Last Post"
  4. At the registration screen, choose a unique username and a personal password.  Enter a valid e-mail address and check the box if you want it to remain private.  All of the remaining information is optional.
  5. Click on "Submit"
  6. A confirming e-mail will be sent immediately to your e-mail's inbox.
  7. Simply confirm by clicking on the words "click here".
  8. Your registration screen will now indicate that it has been confirmed.
  9. Click on "back to message board"
  10. You may now post any query under the various forums that have been established.
  11. If you do not see an applicable forum for your query, please e-mail us and we will set one up for you.
  12. You can always modify your user name, password, and any other information by clicking on "Control Panel" above the words "Last Post" on the main message board screen.

Posting a Message or Responding to a Query Instructions:

  1. The first page of the message board contains a series of subjects called "forums".
  2. These forums can be password protected or they can be "open"
  3. Each forum can contain an unlimited number of posted messages.
  4. Each posted message can have an unlimited number of "replies".
  5. To post a comment or question, click on the title of the appropriate forum where you want your message stored.  The title is "rust" colored.
  6. This will take you to a listing of all messages or topics that have been entered under that particular forum subject matter.
  7. At this point, you can either enter a new message by clicking on "new topic" in the center of the page both at the top and bottom of the screen OR you may reply to a previously posted message by clicking on its title which is also "rust" colored.  If you choose to reply to a previously posted message, the word "reply" will be in the center of the page similar to "new topic" above.
  8. Whether you choose to enter a new message or reply to one, you will be taken to the message form which is similar to any word processing screen.
  9. Enter the text as you want it to appear on the message board.  You can hi-lite the text and bold, italicize, or underline.  You can also add web site links and e-mail addresses.  For those knowledgeable, you can upload images and other types of files.  When finished, you can run the spell checker at the bottom and then preview the message before it is posted.  Finally, click on "Post Message".
  10. If you are posting a query and looking for a response from someone, click on the box "subscribe to this thread".  Anytime someone replies to your posting, you will be notified by e-mail.
  11. Once the message has been posted, you and anyone else may view it by clicking on your message title or heading.  However, you as the author, have the ability to delete the message or edit the message after it has been posted.
