Jack Brand Collection
| Jack Brand's participation in the Manhattan Project began in early 1943 when, as a DuPont employee, he was assigned to the Metallurgical Laboratory at the University of Chicago. In July of 1943, he was transferred to the X-10 facility at Oak Ridge. On May 1, 1944, Jack was promoted to Superintendent of Instruments for X-10.
