was a
security guard at Los Alamos from late 1946 until late 1947.
Although he completed a three month stint with the military police at Los
Alamos, his main duty as a security guard was safe-guarding bomb material
anytime it was out of the vault. Mr. Porterie, who presently resides
in Arizona, graciously provided the photos below.
