White "Go Anywhere" Badge - James H. Porterie; Not many people had these. The security guards all had them. The SG were a group of about 50 men who traveled with the bomb material whenever it was out of a vault; this included standing guard in the labs or anywhere else the material went. They traveled with it and were in charge of transporting it any place it went in the country and some traveled outside of the U.S. Security Guards were not MP's and were under the command of Lt. Charles H. O'Brien of CIC Army Intelligence. |
