Col. Howard C. Bush.  During World War II, Col. Bush was a 1st Lieutenant and then a Captain assigned to the Manhattan Engineer District at Los Alamos.  He was the Commanding Officer of the Base Camp at Trinity Site and had overall responsibility for security.  He retired from the Army in 1963 and died in August 1995 - Shown here in full dress uniform as Provost Marshal at Fort Carson, Colorado.
