Operation Crossroads Cachet - U.S.S. Independence (CVL-22 Aircraft Carrier) - Used as a target ship for both the Able and Baker detonations.  Although badly damaged, she remained afloat.  Decommissioned in August, 1946 and used for radiological research.  She was later sunk as a target off San Francisco on 1/27/51.  Postmarked June 30, 1946
