IF YOU MISSED OUT ON THIS WONDERFUL BOOK, A REVISED 2004 EDITION WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER!!

The 509th Remembered - If ever there was a book that is a must for everyone interested in the history of the 509th Composite Group...this is it! (There are ONLY 20 books available - so order quickly!!) This 320 page book is a complete history of America's atomic bomb missions during World War II as told through the personal reminiscences and photos of the 509th veterans themselves. It was created by Robert Krauss, the Reunion Chairman of the 509th Composite Group and was made available to the attendees of the 58th Reunion of the 509th that was held at the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans in October 2003. More than 500 photos are included...most never seen before. It includes a complete analysis of the 15 B-29 crews as well as information about the seldom reported 216th Army Air Force Base Unit (Special) which played an important role at Wendover AAF. This high-quality book measures 10-1/2" x 8-1/4" and is 1" thick. It weighs over 2#. This book is brand new and is an important collectors item for those interested in the history of World War II. The 509th Composite Group was charged with the responsibility of delivering the two atomic bombs to Japan which brought about a swift conclusion to World War II. As we continue to lose these veterans, there will come a time when there will be no more reunions. Now is the time to get one of these important artifacts while the opportunity is still available. Once the 20 books are gone there will be no more...so act fast. The book is being made available through a cooperative effort between the 509th Reunion Group and the Manhattan Project Heritage Preservation Assoc.
